DPM 2016 UR5 on Server 2016 - Number of files skipped for synchronization due to errors has exceeded the maximum allowed limit of 100 files on this data source (ID 32538 Details: Internal error code: 0x809909FE)

I am having a similar issue to the issue DPM2012 R2 issue linked below. I am using DPM 2016 UR5, and there seems to be limited info about it specifically

I understand the problem is with long file paths/names , and I can see a solution is to add a reg key to up the error limit but I have a few questions:-

1. Are the reg settings the same for Server 2016/DPM 2016?

2. Our folder we are having issues with is on the clustered file server, which is a role which can be hosted on any one of 16 server 2016 nodes? Do all nodes need the reg hack?

3. How do I access the failedfilelog.txt? Is this the same for DPM 2016 Modern Storage as it was in older versions. I'm having some trouble using the mountvol command for this in 2016 getting parameter incorrect errors.
